These images are protected by copyright. They may not be copied, downloaded, reproduced, edited, published, embedded, distributed, or used in any form, whether privately or commercially, digitally or in print, without my prior written permission.

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Republishing on websites or blogs
• Use on social media, in videos, or thumbnails
• Commercial or editorial use
• Inclusion in AI training datasets or automated systems
• Print publications of any kind

If you have a legitimate reason to use one of my photographs, contact me. I am open to discussing licensing where appropriate. Unauthorized use is not acceptable.

Third-Party Images

Unfortunately, I am rather lazy when it comes to taking pictures, and I am not a particularly good photographer either.

Therefore, some images on this website were not created by me. These are clearly marked and include attribution or a reference to the respective rights holder, even in cases where the license does not strictly require it.

I use such materials either with direct permission, through an agency, or under a valid license agreement.

I do not own these works and have no authority to sublicense, redistribute, or authorize their reuse. If you wish to use them, you must contact the original rights holder directly.

AI Generated Images

Some images are AI-generated, either obviously so (unless you think the Maya had a post office) or marked where appropriate. I don't claim copyright on AI-generated images themselves, but I do claim copyright on how I select, edit, arrange, and present them on this website.

I use these images to visually express what I'm imagining, or as a nice placeholder for concepts like "the discovery of the world." Legally, how you can use these AI-generated images may vary by region, and I'm not in a position to make any definitive statements on that.
